Lowell Simpson

Lowell is the Director of Operations for the John P. and Anne Welsh McNulty Foundation, where he manages foundation operations, including financial management, grantmaking operations and facilities. His work focuses on building efficient, reliable systems that support program delivery and organizational effectiveness.

Previously, Lowell was a Senior Manager in the Justice and Mobility Fund at Blue Meridian Partners, where he managed a $200M grant portfolio, including managing investee relationships to develop scaling plans and assess investee and portfolio-wide performance.

Prior to that, he worked in the community economic development space where he managed multimillion dollar portfolios across the Midwest to create opportunities for low-income communities and people with disabilities in the areas of access to health care, K-12 education, arts and culture, small business development, affordable housing, and access to fresh and healthy food.

Lowell is a graduate of Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business where he was a Garda Merit Academic Fellow and The University of Texas at Austin where he was a Presidential Achievement Scholar and studied Human Geography and African & African American History.
